Statement
My daughter asked if I would take her to Spanish Market and she went wild...We came back and she asked if I would do a carving for her. I did one and I got hooked again...Dad worked for Randall Davey...He saw some of my carvings and asked if I ever thought about painting them. He taught me about color...[E. Boyd] showed me some of the old santos and that sparked everything. She really pushed me. [From article in the Frank Alarid vertical file at Bartlett Library]
