This extensive collection will encompass 9 series: Ephemera; File Boxes; Girard Foundation Notebooks; Gravestone Rubbings; Japanese Prints; Childhood; Design; Travel Slides; John Deere Exhibition. Series with greatest depth are those directly related to Girard's collection of folk art: file boxes and travel slides. We hold a small grouping of materials related to design work, but researchers interested primarily in Girard as a designer are advised to consult the archives at the Vitra Design Museum and the Indianapolis Museum of Art (for the Miller House).
